How do I make sure of the standard my connector conforms to? In the manual it says the connectors are ATX. Is that alright?

It's a prebuilt called "optiplex 3010" from dell, if that helps. im thinking either a 7770 or 7850 if i got the dough black friday

He wants to be able to play games nicely, but MAINLY it's about something with ~5h battery life and portable for college...I like his budget, gives me nice headroom.I'm looking at these parts and barebones kits... The way custom laptops are apparently very limited "compatibility" between systems...
