I'd buy the Asus - more RAM and includes SSD. I doubt either of those things would make a difference in gaming though. Like everyone else is saying, the CPU and GPU, which are the two main components that influence gaming performance, are the same.

There is a 0% chance you can run TES: O on a chromebook. It's a chromebook. TES: O requires windows, chromebooks run the Google Chrome operating system.

I assume the files you are talking about are text-based files. The only thing that springs to my mind is kdiff3. It might not be designed specifically for what you're thinking but it'd get the job done.

Buy the Asus, much newer components, more powerful CPU, more powerful GPU.
