Yes I was going to replace the CMOS battery, but it's under the motherboard and I haven't the nerve to take it all apart yet...

I guess you didn't READ my message to start. IT WON'T TURN ON AT ALL regardless if there is a hard drive in it or not. NO POWER!!!

The battery is not dead at all. but yes, I took the battery out and tried to start it with just the DC plug. There is still NO power. I am in the process of buying a new motherboard for it. Thanks for your answer! Jana
