Thanks for the prompt reply. So changing the battery might/should solve the problem!! and I dont definitely need to change the BIOS. The BIOS-F.40 Rev.A (Under revision history) on HP site for my model says in the description that it has a bug fix for Battery problem...

If its the battery why can then I use the system for over 3 hours on battery. And after plugging in and starting the system, and then unplugging it, it works....also after the battery is drained, I can charge it again (let it charge for about 1-2 hrs) and it works. So if the problem is internal...
