bump!?!

So apparently my brother put the master speakers (the one that controls the volume) too close to the Sub-woofer and now it doesn't Turn on... i guess the magnet fried* the circuits ,SO, What can i do we the other 4.1 speakers ? Will any cheap receiver get the job done ? I just want to at least...
