My mother's Toshiba Satelite's keyboard suddenly stopped working. After a lot of tinkering, googleing and browsing on this page (you guys led me to it btw) I managed to fix it it. I updated the BIOS. It had version 1.70 BIOS. You can get the newest version (v. 2.0) from Toshiba's support site...
