I unplugged everything and restarted the computer. Everything works fine now. I don't know what caused the problem, but it is fixed now.

I have an HP Pavillion 6620f. I have 7.1 surround attached to my computer. Set up with an array of ordinary desk speakers. Everything has been working fine, but I noticed a problem tonight. My rear speaker only outputs, when I plug my headphones, into the front headphone jack. It does not work...
