duh, just figured it out, just run the optical direct to TV, change the input, from hd1 to hd2, works perfectly

have a new samsung 50" smart TV, vizio soundbar connected by opti., ps4,uverse all work well except i constantly have to change optical port from the cable box, to to ps4 to get surround sound, hdmi 1 is ps4, tv is hdmi2 . is there a betteer way to have all plugged in, so all i have to do is...
