Thanks for help. I ended up just turning the whole thing off for a few hours and when I turned it back on again it worked..yippee....there's no way I could have don't separate screens etc....not very techno!!!...I did a heap of updates as well maybe that helped too. Thanks for advice. Will keep...

Hi. My laptop has the black screen showing cursor problem. I have been pressing (tapping) the shift key to no avail. How long should I wait to expect something to happen or should I be holding the shift key down continuously. Thanks. I'm not good at this stuff. !!!
