I'd say that either the boot order is misconfigured, or that the HDD went out. Get into the BIOS and figure it out. First make sure it actually recognizes the HDD, if so, check the boot order. if the HDD is not recognized at all, then get an SATA to USB adapter and hook it up to another computer...

Well, judging by what you're saying, this didn't happen out of no where (it was an ongoing thing, that originally occurred because you've dropped it, and got worse over time) so given that, I'd say it's quite clear you need to have this headset replaced.

Check if the HDD is recognized in BIOS, if it is, then check the boot order priority. And just a hint, if the BIOS doesn't remember the changes (or date/time) then this would be an indicator of a bad BIOS battery (usually a CR2032 one) If the HDD is not recognized at all, then either it's gone...

It's possible your new HDD is defective. WD have their bootable diagnostic software, use it in order to check it.
