UPDATE I was turning it on and off and one time I left it on with the cursor blinking and got to the Toshiba screen and the POST test. Came up with where to boot from and HDD was dimmed. Can't get it to repeat. Would a bad cmos battery be doing this. Any suggestions are appreciated. Joe

The laptop isnt completly dead. I have the AC adapter plugged in and when I hit the power button the screen lights up along with the indicator leds next to the power button. I dont even get to the Tosbiba screen or POST test. If the HDD was dead I would at least get through the POST test. Does...
