I have some experience with these tv's.I have had to change boards in one and replace capacitors in another. There is no warranty on the tv since it was a friends who's temper got the best of him and he threw a game controller at it. I agree with you on all accounts with swapping out internals...

I have two tv's both 50"lcd/led flat screens, one has a broken screen(smart tv) and the other (not smart) has bad capcitors/boards. First one is a Hisense 50h5c and the other element elef504. Any thoughts on compatability? Would like to put the smart tv behind the others screen considering it...
