Lol. I figured as much. I'm still going to try and open it up, see what i can fiddle around with before throwing it away.

I have an old Inspiron 6000 using IDE drives that are no longer available along with cosmetic issues (cracks and discoloration) which means I can't use it or resell it. I've taken the HDD, battery and ram. There is a square thing covered with a protective wrap labeled MODEM with instructions...
