I recommend Kaspersky for paid plus with their subscription you can installed it on the computers. For free I would go with AVG you just need to be careful installing the software and uncheck the toolbar.

You are in luck, I had the same problem with a Kaspersky install I am doing for a client, here is what you need to do first you need to be able to ping the full server name "server.domain.local" if you can't you need to add the full server name to the host file on the computer.

Did you create a standalone install package from the security console? Is the computer able to ping the server?

Is the computer joined to your domain? Does the network agent and end point protection even install?

I noticed that you said you had the IEMI number for your laptop, did you buy the laptop with a 3G/4G card?

I would say look at ebay or google see if you can find a touch panel and a non touch panel screen and see if their are any additional connectors needed. or if the cable connectors are the same for each panel.

I would still recommend going with a Dell latitude business class laptop. I would also highly recommend getting the laptop with a SSD, and pro support if possible. I would get something with a i5 ot i7 processor 8gb of ram, and a SSD.

I have a Sony receiver that has both an optical and coaxial input for digital sound. My tv has both ports on the back as well for output. I am just curious which will deliver better sound quality. I know the best is HDMI but the Sony receiver does not have that input.

Does the laptop have 1 or 2 sticks on RAM?

Try taking out the battery and see if the laptop boots. I just ran into the same problem with a Dell laptop it turns out the laptop was the problem. The laptop would go from a charged state to a discharged state to idle, and then repeat. Once the battery was drained the laptop would turn off...

Did you try to pull the BIOS battery, have you tried disconnecting the LCD panel and using an external monitor?

most laptops CPUs can not be upgraded. One you have an Intel chip and I don't think you can put an AMD chip on a board that has an Intel chip. Second is the heat issue. If you can even put in a faster processor, the heatsink most likely wont be big enough to keep the CPU from over heating.

Have you tried used an external keybaord?

Depending on the laptop you might have to hold down the FN key and then hit the F10 key. I would also try using a USB keyboard and see if that will work,

I would say try removing the battery and see if the laptop powers on, also try removing and reseating the ram. I had a Dell E5430 that was doing the same thing with the power supply LED turning off the second I plugged it into the laptop. It turned out it was the motherboard in that case.
