not really, ULV processors are cut down versions of their big brothers. i7U is 2 cores/2 hyperthreads. You can find some ultra laptops with a real i5 for real quad core performance. And while CUDA may make things faster, it also makes your video look worse.

check your volume levels... your laptops speaker volume will not be the same as the players internal volume, and in your sound mixer the web browser will also have a separate volume from your laptops speaker (main) volume. So thats 3 you need to verify.

Like I told you, it is only a 1x pci slot. People were using 750gtx's and not much more... so a 480 would be pointless. You would not be able to run a video card that is more powerful then your 960m.

The CPU isn't whats going to hurt, the 6500U is a pretty strong puller and shouldn't falter to much on games that demand true quad core performance. That GPU though, the Radeon R5 M335 is pretty low end. Any game you are going to play on it is going to need to be low graphic settings and 720p...

Don't touch 3gb... just don't. And your information on CPU's is wack.. you could run a haswell cpu on future games with no performance issues at all. Skylake and future CPUs are better on battery life, but they are no more future proof. CPUs have been a non-issue with games for many years now.
