Google Engineers Found More Than Half of Microsoft's Bugs

plus the fact that MS pays a nice little sum for bug catches doesn't hurt Google bottom line any Sure they do, as long as you consider Zero to be a 'nice little sum'. There is no bug bounty from microsoft. Perhaps you are confusing them with google who does have a bug bounty.

SD Card Turns NOOK Color Into Android Tablet

It is curious that the description includes 802.11 A, while barns and noble says b/g/n. I wonder how the software change enables 5ghz wireless.

ETH Zurich, Microsoft Release New Barrelfish OS

SilmarunyaNot really, they made quite a few open source products and donate to a huge number of open source projects. Which is of course understandable, as having open standards on top of your own closed source empire makes the life of your devs far easier. Perhaps you could name these 'quite a...

Mitsubishi to Sell 100-inch OLED TV This Month

17.6 pounds total? If it is 15 inches thick, then it is about 37 cubic feet, which means the density is less than 8 oz per cubic foot. Since there are multiple panels that have to be held to each other, I think this most unlikely. I think it more likely that it weighs 176 pounds.

Cyberrebate was a pyramid scheme. They paid rebates from the revenue of new purchases. Then the people in charge left the country with lots of money. I just read the article at gm's site. They will make motors more reliable, and lighter. The got a $105 million grant to do so. My buddy Alan Coconni, the founder of AC propulsion, was building motors in his garage in the late 80's. They were well over 95% efficient. I know he could lift his...

    Noise Canceling Headphones

On page 1, you say noise canceling is relatively new. On page 2, you say the technology dates from 1933. Which is it? On page 2 you say 'the stereo rendering and the detailed level of sound. The former gives you the impression of listening to a breadth of notes instead of a limited range of...

Dell and Samsung Release 23" QWXGA Monitors

"While a resolution of 2,048 x 1,152 would seem extremely high, it does not actually offer significantly more pixels than current 1,920 x 1200 resolution displays; 236k-pixels versus 230k-pixels." Did someone fail math class? Hint: 2048*1152=2,359,296
