    asus x501a upgrading components

    I have the same laptop. With an intel core i3 dual core at 2.3 ghz and win 8 64 bit os. Recently I upgraded to 8gigs of 1600 mhz ram and have encountered no problems exept on occasions the cooling fan really starts to speed up.
