Why not get creative with the wire, put two LED strip lights from your desk to the speakers with the actual speaker wire behind them stuck to the wall. Extend the speaker wires 10 fold and use a brightly coloured cable and stick it on the wall as a pattern ... Lad Pad Dead Body type stuff.

Dragon-Dictate made a device like this years ago, you dictate and it converts it to text and stores it on a SD card in the pocket sized device. Drop it into your PC and print it. Must be quite a choice of them by now. Maybe just look at dictation devices but with TTS in the search term,.e.g...

You can buy a Bluetooth adpator, I've bought several (£6 each ebay), each one can connect to two different Bluetooth speakers at the same time. You plug a 3.5mm jack plug in the bottom of it with the other end directly into your headphones socket of anything that squirts out audio.
