    i have a virus at my external hard drive and my files disappeared. can i still retrieve it? how?

    Hi all, i had a virus at my hard drive and the only thing that it shows is the shortcut. when i cleaned it the shortcut disappeared and my files are gone. but the capacity still shows that i still have my files on my drive. how can i solve this problem? :'(
