    Subwoofer connection cable

    I have a Cambridge Sounds Works P500. It has the sub and then a control box. There is and RCA connection to the recover from the box and what looks like a phone wire from box to sub. I'm using regulate phone cord and it isn't working. Does this need a special cable?
