    This has not solved the problem. With a microphone attached my Rebel T5i (700d) will only record for 10-12 seconds! Thanks for taking the time to help though!

    My Canon T5i kept stopping recording automatically. I used to clear all files from the SD card onto a hard drive after use but this did not solve anything. I just reformatted my SD card, should this solve my problem? Thanks
