Yes it has a VGA port. However, how is the response, quality and speed compared to HDMI? Is there a USB 3.0 TO HDMI cable?

I have a Toshiba laptop that does not have a HDMI port. Is there a HDMI card that can be installed in the PCI slot? or is there a USB to HDMI converter cable. I am looking to watch movies from my laptop to TV. I was told VGA does not work as well.
