The Chieftec you have is a big +12V PSU with DC to DC for the non-essential +3.3V and +5V rails. Should be fine. As long as you're not considering a PSU w/o DC to DC, you have a +12V PSU that isn't going to latch off when only the +12V is loaded because the supervisor IC senses a crossload.
