    Gpu upgrade definitely possible and recommended for VR. You have enough wattage on the psu for those (relatively) low power cards. Cpu upgrade is not really necessary, and i don't think your motherboard supports newer cpus. You could possibly look for an i7, though it may be hard and you might...

    The one with the 8gb 980m is better. More VRAM is always better. And for rendering and CAD, I'd get that one.
