Either one will play modern games with an i5. The GDDR5 is better though. The GPU has a lot more to do with game performance than the CPU so I suggest getting the 750m GDDR5 with the Core i5 processor. I'm currently running an Alienware M14X R3 laptop with a GT 750M w/1GB GDDR5 with a Core i7...
