    You could build a killer desktop for that price. That being said, it's pretty good. There's no way I'd pay 1000$ for it though, mostly because I don't think gaming on a laptop is viable.

    Hi Tony, I don't think that there are any laptops on the current market for that price range. I think around 350$ is the cheapest you can get a laptop nowadays. That being said, you may want to check ebay for any second-hand or refurbished units. Good luck

    Get a Chromebook - they're superb. They can't game or anything, but for casual browsing and work, they're honestly great.
