He's not talking *shit at all. I too have the Geforce GT 635M, but with i7 core, 8 gigs RAM on Asus N55S. I was able to play Bioshock Infinite on Ultra at avg 30fps (although I turned it down a touch for smoother overall framerate). I've got Thief, and it struggles with it on the graphics...
