Have you actually seen a laptop with a 980m? the chip still has a tdp of 125W or there abouts. They are not exactly small by laptop standards... The desktop 980 is rated at 165W and it has more shaders (1.5k vs 2k)...

I'd say the chip is throttling down due to high temps, looking at that log it doesn't like being at 90c+ and also there doesnt seem to be any usable clockrates between 442 and 162Mhz (the latter is probbaly the idle clocks). Once it has sat at 162 for couple of seconds and cooled to low 80s it...

so this can only happen if you're using public wifi hot-spots? and I'm guessing unprotected WLAN as well??
