    I went to task manager but it would not work. Then I pressed FN and the power button. I waited a short while and turned it on again. Was able to get to desktop and onto Google. It appears to be working. Thank you very much for your input.

    The download was done through an email from Dell. I cannot access my email.

    But how do I reinstall it. It was a software download , not a disc. Where would I go to on the laptop to do it.

    Now it shows nothing but a new menu showing view, sort by, refresh but it goes no further

    When I right click on the Windows icon on the bottom left hand side of desktop a list is shown, programs and features, mobility center and others. When I click on System it opens a menu open, print,restore previous versions but when I click on any of them nothing happens

    Yes everything worked up to yesterday. I did the software update to Windows 10 in December 2015

    I did a software download of Windows 10 on my dell laptop. It worked perfectly. Today when I opened it up nothing opens. I can go to my desktop but that is it. The computer is 100 % charged. It was fine last night.
