I had this hizzing noise and distorted sound on low level volume. Razer Kraken 7.1 here I fixed the problem. On a laptop. How? By uninstalling Razer Synapse! I noticed that my headset didn't have that noise on a computer without the Razer driver. Awesome sound now. Works without third party...
