what is your budget? if its less than $450, take a look to astro a40 or i recommend creative sb recon 3d usb soundcard with asus r.o.g orion stereo headset, two of them costs near 200$ and sounds decent.

alpha is notorious about easily broken issue. i recommend creative fatal1ty, it sounds incredibly amazing. i tried many headsets like siberia v2, tactic 3d series and asus rog orion, fatality's tune was unique. if u have a good soundcard you can try asus orion
