    Optical drive driver's green on light can't show anymore

    when I insert my DVD, it's not recognized by my Acer Aspire V5 system and the green light won't show any more to indicate that the disk drive is active or being recognized. Could it be damaged....if not. ..what can I do to fix the problem.???
