I don't know if it's the correct device to check this with or not, but I tried with my PS4. Wasn't showing up there, but the HDD was showing its light.

Not at the moment, as I don't have any other devices to check it with. Is there a chance it's a faulty USB port? I did try with multiple USB ports on my PC, all with the same result
