    Not sure if a BIOS update would help, since it should of been fine from the start, but the OP can try anyways. You could try overclocking it, but I doubt you'll be able to do that, since the BIOS might not be capable of overclocking it.

    At that price, I'd go with some chinese headsets. Some good ones I recommend are the Kotion Each G2000 and the Kotion Each G9000. Although they'll take awhile to arrive you'll be pleased with yourself.

    Yes, there should be a port on the TV that says "ant.", and you should be able to screw it in there.

    Have you checked what symbol is beside it? Usually, there's a symbol next to it, either a headphone for audio, a mic for well, mic, or both.
