    why cant I hear or see a picture on my samsung tv, but I can see and hear a picture when I play a dvd

    I have a 3 year old 42 inch Samsung Plasma TV and I am able to see a picture and hear sound when playing a DVD. However, when trying to look at my Cox cable channels, there is no sound or picture. Why is this happening and is this an easy fix?
