Hold the volume button (to turn volume up) and the power button at the same time. Hold until screen turns black. This may take a minute or two. Good luck- kpro1955

My samsung galaxy tab A 9.7 has frozen Ina single screen and I've tried the method where I hold the power button for 10 second
It is really important to hold the on off button down at the same time as holding the volume + button until the screen turns black it may take a minute or two- kpro1955
