I have the same issue as the OP. I replaced the CMOS battery, but still here 5 beeps. I am able to turn on the laptop and access all files, however the computer no longer detects wi-fi networks so I cannot access the internet. Do you think the 5 beeps could also indicate an issue with the WLAN card?
