I'd say you can go easily with that. With that laptop you would not have problems in the future either. Going with a cheaper, you would be fine now but not in the future.

MSI has lot of similar laptops for the same price or even cheaper (which also means that with 1800 dollars you can get better than that alienware). From MSI you can choose a PC that fits your needs.
