If you own a Vive, how many computers do you own wise?

When the 1080s came out, I stuck one in my old gaming rig, moved it to the living room and made it the dedicated Vive Computer. I then built a new gaming computer to keep in my man cave.

The best VR Headset for PC

Don't know what is the best, but I personally have the Vive and I like it quite a bit. We have had 5-6 "VR parties" and everybody really has a blast. Sometimes I wish there was a tad bit more content, but hey, early adopters and all.

Second thoughts about VIVE and (Now) Oculus Touch?

Read the post, the user is talking about USBs and needing to route them all over his house. It is clear what he is talking about.

Second thoughts about VIVE and (Now) Oculus Touch?

Don't know about your Vive lighthouses, but mine are wireless. Just needs a power cord.

Help before buying a Vive (or Rift) today

I have a Vive and I really like it. The base stations and room scale seems to be very smart and tracks well, so I wouldn't worry about functionality. I will say this, the larger the room, the better the experience because you have to spend less time "reorienting your play space". I am not sure I...

    Wait for VR Convergence?

Honestly if you can afford a Vive, I would do it. Having people over and watching them experience it for the first time is really really fun. I play a lot of games on PC and I dont think I ever had an ear to ear grin like I did with the first week of the Vive. It so immersive your body reacts...

    Wait for VR Convergence?

But if everyone thinks like you, no one will buy VR and the platform will die. In my 34 years on this Earth, what you are describing happened to me only one time. You are speaking to an unproud owner of a Sega 32x. I think you are safe with a Vive, Occulous or PS. The product is great...

    Wait for VR Convergence?

I have a Vive and there seems to be a ton of content, although alot of it is short. Now that I have it, I think of it as less of a gaming device, and more of an experience device. I don't know that there will ever be games on it like you would see on your PC, but I could be wrong. Not sure...

    My first build

Agree with the above, I would look at the pascal cards over your 980ti. Also, you would have a pretty powerful machine, able to push 1080 games into the 100+ fps range, but you would be bottlenecked to 60 by your monitor. If this is exclusively a VR machine, its probably not a big deal, but if...
