Im also not sure if it means anything but all 5 lights on the battery come on when I press it. So how do I know if the battery is shot?

I tried to uninstall the battery drivers in device manager, restart, still didn't change, wont turn on unless ac adapter is plugged in. If I unplug it while its on, it turns off. But I am just holding on to the fact my diagnostics said the battery was okay @ 83% so it may be some other issue.

Okay, so I have an alienware m14x r2. It's a little aged but I have updated all the parts and it runs great. Until today. I was cleaning it and when I put it back together and turned it on without the bottom attatched the battery fell out. Now it wont turn on unless the AC adapter is plugged in...
