yes I have tried an external keyboard and that one works just fine when the case comes up but the keyboard on the laptop itself still has the issue

The hybrid power option for the computer monitor fixed the monitor not booting up properly but uninstalling the drivers for the keyboard and letting the computer automatically reinstall them did not help. The keyboard still does not work if I close the laptop and reopen it, or for the first time...

On power up of my laptop, the mouse will work just fine but the keyboard will not work unless i restart my laptop at least one time. after that is normally works, just trying to find and address this issue. The other issue is that of the monitor. This laptop is unable to go into sleep mode...
