solved ... found a google link to a BIOS update and it reappeared

i have tried this i have even run the graphics test they provide ... the test only tested the Intel HD 4000 before i have run this test and it would test the HD 4000 then the Nvidia GT 650m ... but its like it doesnt exist

the model is Inspiron 17R-7720 i did a full reformat of the HDD and reinstalled all the drivers as well through the dell disks that were provided. still no GPU.

still cannot figure out why my GPU is missing ... NOTHING detects it what so ever... my Nvidia control panel doesnt even open. really dont want to have to reformat just to find out that my GPU is dead.

The beeps weren't consecutive, it was more like ... beep ..... beep .... beep ..... beep .... beep. But it was on going and it got annoying, so I powered off the laptop. I have since reset the RAM since and no difference.

so long story short, found a HDD of mine i used in the past just a regular SATA 80GB HDD for a laptop. Now, i decided i would just plug this into my laptop no problem. well the laptop beeped beeped and beeped about 4 times then i just turned the computer off. took it out was like ok nevermind...
