One of my guildmates, in World of Warcraft, I believe is looking to get a new laptop. What model would you suggest for this, that won't be super expensive? I don't have their exact budget yet, but I know it won't be much.

I wouldn't expect a very enjoyable experience with that. Those integrated graphics are super weak. What is your budget for a laptop?

That system can only support up to 8gb max, so a matching 4gb stick is the way to go, and is a good idea.

For WoW, Intel/Nvidia is probably best. I would say the Asus one.

I would take the GTX 1050 equipped laptop. Much better for gaming.

Acer has a laptop equipped with a desktop Ryzen 7 2700. I would be looking at Ryzen 7 or Threadripper for most bang for your buck multitasking. A 2700x, motherboard, and 16gb can be had for around the price of a 9900k, by itself, when looking at standard sized components. SFF build in 2700x...

I would go with the non Max-Q version. Max-Q are slower, as they are focused on power consumption/thermals. I wouldn't expect you to find a better deal, on black friday, if the US sales, that I have seen, are any indication.

What is your budget? The Acer Predator Helios 300 is a good option, in the 15" class. I use one myself. Dell outlet often has some pretty good deals too, if that is too much.
