In my opinion its a case of dried out thermal paste. You may have to apply thermal paste on CPU to get rid of the issue. If you have some technical knowhow as to how to disassemble the Lappy, then you can do it yourself, else you have contact a professional for the job. Good luck.
If you mean it looks like dead or there is no power led coming up, then my guess is the transformer gone bad and in that case you need to contact a electronics technician.
Bigger screens tends to cut down some fps, say 5-10 fps, but that wouldn't be a real problem for you I assume, you can still play your said games with a decent/playable fps.
Secondly you are stuck dear, you cant mount/install a GPU(graphics card) on a Lappy, and external GPU's wont help either...
AFAIK, with normal operation like web browsing, music, video, the Intel (IGP) will handle the stuff. When you game NVidia will take over it automatically, so you don't have to switch between two, and no they do not work simultaneously to save power.
There is a way to make a bootable USB stick from the DVD, if you have a spare PC and the DVD is bootable for sure. But first make sure your HDD/SSD is working and not faulty.

Virtualization is a feature of CPU, normally it is present in desktop i7-CPU's, but I don't know about yours.

If you are asking whether you will be able to run CPU and GPU intensive programs on this Lappy, then the answer will be yes, the specs of the Lappy is fine for a workstation. I don't know if this Lappy comes with a dedicated GPU (NVidia/AMD) or not, I would love to have one along with integrated...
As I heard that game has not made for PC, its a Play Station title, so cannot be played on a PC. You can play it on emulator (PCSX2 emulator) atleast I hope so.
