My Alienware m17x R3 fans stopped spinning a few months ago, sometimes they spin up during the boot before going into the OS (Windows 10). I've opened it up before and looked at the vents and fan blades, they don't seem too dirty. I unplugged them both (the GPU and CPU fan) and plugged them back...
