    Static noise when running headphones through USB sound card

    Never had a dedicated sound card but as usual, make sure the drivers are up-to-date, check for damage on the headphones/card, and make sure you're plugging it in correctly (it happens!)

    Headset Static Noise Suddenly

    If your headset is wired, check it for damages along the cable and at both ends. See if anything feels loose on it. Try it on another computer or phone to see if the static is unique to your computer or headset.
