    Thanks British and proud Probably best to return the dvd as it was £25 so to pay another £20 ish for a cable seems daft. Thanks for your help

    Thanks for replying, It’s a Samsung 43M5510 The dvd is a Sony recently purchased from Argos so I’m probably better to return then aren’t I ? As the tv doesn’t have the red/yellow/white option either. Thanks again

    I have a new Samsung smart TV with hdmi sockets but my dvd has a scart port (2 rows of ten pins) does anyone know how to connect them please as I’m so not technical! Many thanks Lucy
