RIM Ships BlackBerry OS 7.1, Intros PlayBook OS 2.0

OS 2.0 will make this thing just as capable as a iPad 2 and more. The apps are a given, but do not knock it until you try it. A couple of months ago, Tom's released a somewhat negative article stating "we don't see why the Playbook will go back up in price". I'm interested, and that's all I will...

$1.7 Million PlayBook Shipment Stolen at Truck Stop

OS 2.0 will bring a lot of value back to the PlayBook, in my honest opinion, its a sign that this universal platform should be market ready. I know Playbooks, with the 199 for 16GB sale, are selling like made in anticipation of that. RIM is playing it cautious i think on this one, its make or...

The BlackBerry PlayBook is Now Officially $199

PlayBook O.S. 2.0 is going to be solid, if promises are delivered. It will have integrated Exchange email, both through BES and OWA, from what i'm reading. The fact that you actually wrote in this article that you cant see why the price of the PlayBook would go up again really surprises me...

Report: RIM's New BlackBerrys to Run Android Apps

Sounds good. QNX is noted for creating very stable and secure software, so maybe the Android Malware will have no effect. We'll see. BB7 was a step in the right direction for RIM, but this new QNX platform is going to have to be leaps and bounds ahead of Apple and Google to even get noticed.

BlackBerry Bold 9930 Now Available on Verizon

This is actually a decent device. All of the OS7 phones are. They all have new hardware and software capabilities, and a smooth BlackBerry OS. (yes, finally) This should hold people over until the QNX superphones come out and leave RIM critics (reviewers) scrounging for negative comments like...

RIM Announces Five New BlackBerry 7 Phones

These phones as a whole are decent. If they turned a chunky Java OS6 into this, imagine what they can do with QNX. Anyone who knows anything about this industry expects to see RIM fight back and hard. We'll see.

RIM Announces Five New BlackBerry 7 Phones

handsomerob"The only thing RIM has going for them is security and the BES."Actually neither is true anymore. RIM gives out encryption algorithms to any country who asks or be banned from sales, and gmail/exchange servers are just as reliable for push email as BES is, plus you get full HTML...

Apple Wants to Identify Users By Their Heartbeat

The most insecure phone on the market resorts to the most insignificant of security measures.

Comcast Wins 'Worst Company in America' Award

It's probably well deserved. Like theguy82, who posted previously, I worked at an outsourced tech support location in Canada (probably the same one) as it was the only IT job available at the time (sad). I had CCNA, A+, with 2 years Military IT experience and some post secondary. I was paid 9...

SneakySnakeLooks like a lot was taken from the iPhone's OS Apple pays RIM royalties for using numerous technologies.
