@bignastyid you would have to talk human !!! well if it helps i need to 3d model some views and rendering takes up most of the effort... currently my screen blanks out and comes back alive saying, your graphic card had just recovered... every half hour.. which i dont think is good :/

well a friend of mine got one installed so i am hoping so.. what does upgrading the processor do actually?

would jus changing the ram to a 4gb and replacing the graphics card suffice for a decent working lap?

Am an architecture student and am surviving on a core 2 duo processor, 3 gb ram with a much needed to be replaced graphics card.. the laptops a dell inspiron 1545. i was wondering if it is possible to upgrade it to an i5 or is it just better buying a new laptop ?
