I bought imatch recently because I had to buy/install a new hard drive for my laptop,. thinking that I would be able to retrieve songs which I didn't buy from the iTunes Store. This is the reason why I needed to know about updating the iOS. Unfortunately,..... I still can't retrieve my songs...

It sounds like your hard drive is about to pack up. The same thing happened to me. I tried everything to stop it. In the end I backed up all my doc's, pic's and everything I wanted to save onto an external hard drive and bought a new hard drive for my PC. Sorry about that !

The last time I updated my iphone 4s to ios 7 I lost my wifi. I've had to buy a new iphone 5s because of this. I still haven;t updated my 5s because I'm afraid the same thing will happen. Can anyone put me straight on this please....should I update ??
